95th Anniversary

3 Day Trip to Washington DC from Chicago, Il
Departing on: Friday June 8-10, 2007

The city that symbolizes the ideas of our nation is one of the most powerful in the world. Striking monuments such as the Iwo Jima Marine Memorial and the Lincoln Memorial, pay tribute to our nation's commitment to domestic and international freedom. Your students will witness the U.S. Government in action in the U.S. Capitol Building and the U.S. Supreme Court. Each stop along the way gives students the opportunity to learn about and pay tribute to the important people, places, and events that have helped to shape so many facets of our lives and our world.

ITINERARY

Day 1 Friday, June 8th

5:00 PM	Arrive O'Hare International Airport for check-in
6:40 PM	Depart on Flight to Washington DC
9:35 PM	Arrive at Washington National Airport. Transfer to Hotel for check-in

Day 2 Saturday, June 9th

8:00 AM	Breakfast at your hotel
9:00 AM	Transfer to the Washington Monument for the 95th Anniversary Celebration
5:30 PM	Transfer to the Pentagon City Mall for an included dinner and browsing
8:00 PM	Washington Illuminations-Monuments at night

Day 3 Sunday, June 10th

8:00 AM	Breakfast at your hotel and check out
9:30 AM	Visit Arlington National Cemetary, including JFK Grave site and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Participate in Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (pending approval).
11:30 PM	Transfer to the Smithsonian Museums
	Time for Lunch on your own
	Visit the Smithsonian Museums
4:00 PM	Transfer to the Washington National Airport
5:25 PM	Depart on flight home
6:35 PM	Arrive at Chicago O'Hare International Airport
