What's the difference between Disney's Intimate and Custom
Ceremonies?
Intimate Vow Renewals are complete
vow renewal and honeymoon packages designed for the bride and
groom. They typically include a small ceremony with cake and a
champagne toast, lodging at a Walt Disney World Resort
hotel, and Walt Disney World Theme Park tickets. Special
arrangements can be made to accommodate up to eight guests at
the ceremony.
Custom Vow Renewals are
personalized events that allow the bride and groom to design a
vow renewal ceremony and private reception in the Walt Disney
World location of their choice. Because these are more
elaborate, personalized events, minimum expenditures of $7,500
for ceremonies held Monday through Thursday, and $10,000 for
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday events, will apply. There are also
certain food and beverage and room night minimums. Your Disney
Wedding Consultant will work with you to establish a budget that
meets all these Requirements.
What documents will I need for my Disney Vow Renewal?
Proof of your valid marriage license is required prior to
hosting your ceremony at the Walt Disney World® Resort.
Sorry, but passports are not acceptable as proof of marriage.
What is a Disney Vow Renewal going to cost?
No two Disney Vow Renewals are alike. Prices for Disney's
Intimate Vow Renewals start at $3,500. Custom Vow Renewals
require a minimum expenditure of $10,000 for events Friday
through Sunday, or $7,500 for events Monday through Thursday,
excluding tax and gratuity. During the holiday season, a higher
minimum may apply. There are also room night and food and
beverage minimums. Food and beverage, flowers, decor, music,
entertainment, photography services, special transportation, spa
services, ceremony site fees, and any other services provided by
Disney exclusively for the vow renewal event will apply
toward reaching the minimum.
What's the payment and deposit schedule for a Disney Vow
Renewal?
An Intimate Vow Renewal requires a deposit equal to one night's
room and tax within two weeks of booking. The balance of the
package price and cost for any additional guests are due 21 days
prior to your arrival date.
Deposits for Custom Vow Renewals
are required to confirm your event space and begin planning your
event and reserving hotel room accommodations at special
discounted rates. A signed Letter of Agreement along with a
minimum non-refundable deposit will be required to confirm your
vow renewal date. This non-refundable deposit will be applied to
the minimum cost requirement of your Disney wedding. The full
estimated payment (payable by check, money order, or American
Express® or other accepted credit cards) of your event is due
one month prior to the wedding date. You will receive a detailed
Letter of Agreement that will further explain the payment
schedule and deposit amounts.
When can I reserve my vow renewal date?
Disney vow renewals can be tentatively booked 12 months in
advance of your wedding date (based on availability). A minimum
of 21 days to plan an Intimate Vow Renewals, and 30 days to plan
a Custom Vow Renewals, is required. We are able to confirm all
Custom Vow Renewal space eight months prior to your requested
date.
Does Disney offer any kind of photography and videography
service for my event?
We are pleased to offer Disney Photographic Services to capture
the magical memories of your special event. A wide range of
styles and packages is available. In addition, your Disney
photography and videography purchase will count toward your
minimum Custom Vow Renewals
expenditure.
I love Mickey and Minnie. Could they act as Best Man and Maid
of Honor at our vow renewal?
We're sorry, but our famous Disney Characters are not available
to participate in the actual ceremony in any way. However,
they'd be delighted to attend your reception to mingle with
guests, pose for unforgettable photographs, "cut in" on the
first dance, and even help you cut the cake. Character
appearances are available in 30-minute increments and count
toward your minimum Custom Vow Renewals
expenditure.
Is there a spa where my friends and I can pamper ourselves
before our event?
Ah, yes. Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is located just
next door to Disney's Wedding Pavilion. There you can take
advantage of all the latest spa therapies, treatments, and
beauty regimens. And the guys might appreciate a massage, too!
You might also want to arrange a massage in the "couples" room
for the day after your event -- the ultimate indulgence!
Where can I purchase the CD version of Disney's Instrumental
Impressions featuring instrumental arrangements of Disney love
songs? I love this CD and want it for my collection.

I have looked over all of the packages and am a bit confused
by the package dates listed. Does that mean these are the only
dates that your Honeymoon and Intimate Vow Renewal packages are
offered? What if we are coming in a month where there are no
dates listed?
The dates listed are simply dates during which the sample rate
is valid. All of our vow renewal and honeymoon packages are
offered year round in a wide variety of Walt Disney World®

Will transportation be available for my guests on the day of
our wedding?
Disney's Wedding Pavilion is not on the Walt Disney World®
Resort transportation system. To ensure the safety of your
guests and the timeliness of your event, a Luxury Motorcoach
Charter rental is available at an additional fee. Charter bus
transportation allows for direct and easy access to the entire
wedding event for your guests as well as a return to their
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel at the conclusion of your
celebration. In addition, the bus runs continuously throughout
the event, giving those with small children or those who wish to
return early (or stay late!) the opportunity to do so.
Can I have a Catholic ceremony and be married by a priest?
Although Disney's Wedding Pavilion is non-denominational, the
official Orlando Catholic Diocese position is that no wedding
ceremonies will be recognized outside the Catholic Church. We
encourage you to speak with your personal clergy about your
situation.
Can Disney theme my wedding?
Sure! In fact, it's our specialty. Many locations provide an
"instant theme," such as the Living Seas Lounge at Epcot®,
or any of the Epcot® Pavilions, including France, Japan,
the Rose Garden in the United Kingdom, Italy, and Canada. Or how
about a 1940s Americana theme with swing-dancing at Atlantic
Dance at Disney's BoardWalk Resort or the ultimate Cinderella
fantasy in the Magic Kingdom® Park? In the past, couples
have created amazing themed environments including a
fog-shrouded "Midsummer Night's Dream" enchanted forest,
Cinderella's Ball, and even a "Winter Wonderland" complete with
an "ice-skating pond" for a dance floor. The possibilities are
as endless as the imagination.
What makes a Disney wedding so unique?
The real "magic" surrounding a Disney Fairy Tale Wedding (any
wedding for that matter) is the reunion of family and friends in
such a special environment--creating cherished memories that
will last forever! However, many of our couples incorporate
special touches that reflect the location or "theme"--for a
Cinderella wedding many choose a wedding cake with a white
chocolate Castle as the topper...serve dessert in a white
chocolate Cinderella slipper filled with mousse on a
castle-design plate. Use music as a key element to set the tone
or carry out the theme, many of our couples choose classic
Disney Love songs for their first dance or ceremony music!
I am interested in hosting my wedding at Disney, but am not
sure that I want to have a "Disney" theme, do you have any other
ideas?
A theme could also involve how or where the couple met, their
cultural heritage, a favorite childhood movie or story, common
passions of the bride & groom, special talents, favorite cuisine
or even a favorite color, flower or song! It is important to
choose one central theme and stick to it-become inspired by a
certain element and let that be the focus of your planning. If
it is a color, for example, incorporate it into every aspect of
your event-invitations, programs, menu cards, bridesmaids gowns,
flowers, room decor, favors etc! Many of our wedding couples use
resources such as their local specialty card & gift stores,
bridal salons, music & book stores, libraries and of course, the
internet!
What are the different types of theme weddings available at
Disney?
We have hosted such a wide variety of "themed" weddings--each of
them different and unique. We have hosted Medieval weddings,
Winter Wonderland Weddings, a "Mad Hatter's Tea Party" Wedding,
"Beauty & the Beast" Ball Weddings, a "Hollywood Grandeur"
Wedding, "Under the Sea Weddings" at the Living Seas Pavilion, a
Native-American "Pocahontas" Wedding at Fort Wilderness and
weddings in many of the countries around the World Showcase in
Epcot®--to name just a few! Our team of professional wedding

dreams.
What is the Most Requested Theme of a wedding at Disney?
The Cinderella Wedding is by far the most requested "theme" at
Walt Disney World. Bride's can truly become Cinderella for the
day as they arrive in Cinderella's Glass Coach and exchange
their vows with Cinderella Castle in the background (whether in
the Magic Kingdom® Park or the altar at Disney's Wedding
Pavilion!)
Does my Disney Wedding have to be themed?
Weddings at Walt Disney World® often incorporate a theme, but,
many times they do not!! For us, the "destination wedding" trend
is what has increased dramatically in popularity! People are
focusing on reuniting families and friends for a weekend of
festivities surrounding the wedding celebration. The Walt Disney
World® Resort is a unique location that is neutral (in the case
of interfaith marriages and "blended" families) and offers a
wide variety of activities and locations for the Wedding couple
and their guests. Most couples have a large majority of guests
traveling to attend their wedding regardless of the location,
and the appeal of Walt Disney World® is that it is a fun meeting
spot for all involved!
